William Sleator, a writer for young people whose books pitted their heroes against aliens, ghouls and slimy things, not to mention the most malevolent rivals of all — siblings — died on Wednesday in Bua Chet, Thailand. He was 66.
The last week of oh so sweet freedom is here and will be gone before the rushing currents of the now diminishing Boulder creek turn back into a slightly over-sized brook.But I will not be afraid of the doors to learning.I will great them, head held high, and embrace another year.Sighhhhhh.
